Kim Randolph is a co-leader of the Transaction Opinions practice. Kim has extensive experience providing business valuation and financial advisory services for public and private enterprises. She specializes in enterprise valuations, purchase price allocations, intangible asset valuations, goodwill impairment analyses, and option valuations, for tax, financial reporting and corporate planning purposes. In addition, Kim has experience providing fairness and solvency opinions for private transactions, mergers and acquisitions, significant financing events (e.g. dividend recaps) and other corporate transactions. Her experience spans a diverse client base, from start-up private entities to large public corporations, boards of directors, private equity funds, law firms, accounting firms, and financial institutions.
As co-leader of Stout’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice, Kim has experience valuing numerous areas of commercial and non-commercial radio spectrum, including broadcast spectrum (e.g. radio and television), 700 MHz, EBS/BRS, Cellular/PCS, SMR/ESMR (800 and 900 MHz), VHF public coast, 218-219 MHz, 450 MHz, narrowband PCS, 24 GHz, 38 GHz, and various others. Kim has written technical articles on valuations in the context of financial reporting and intangible asset valuation. In addition, she has spoken at a number of industry conferences on valuation trends and topics.
In addition to Technology, Media & Telecommunications industry experience, Kim has experience in a number of other industries, including, aerospace and defense, government services, professional sports, satellite, and consumer discretionary.
Prior to joining Stout, Kim was a Manager in the Financial Consulting division at BIA Advisory Services. In this role, Kim was responsible for business valuations for numerous purposes, including financing, restructuring, purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment testing, impairment of FCC licenses, intangible asset valuation, fresh start accounting, and other tax and corporate related matters.
