The Legal Aid Society Honors Seven Stout Professionals for Pro Bono Service
Stout is pleased to announce that seven of its professionals have been recognized by The Legal Aid Society for their pro bono service and support of the organization and its clients.
Kevin McElroy, Kiersten Acevedo, Sam DiDomenico, Matthew McAndrews, Megan Obear, and Alec Riegler received The Legal Aid Society’s 2026 Pro Bono Publico Award, which recognizes individuals and organizations for exceptional contributions of pro bono expertise. Neil Steinkamp received the 2026 Public Interest Law Leadership Award for extraordinary contributions to The Legal Aid Society and its clients.
”The opportunity to support The Legal Aid Society and its clients is meaningful to all of us at Stout,” said Neil Steinkamp, Managing Director at Stout. “I am proud to see so many of my colleagues recognized for contributing their time and expertise to this work. These awards speak to the collective effort of our team and the importance of continuing to support access to legal services in our communities.”
The Legal Aid Society is the nation’s largest public defense and civil legal services provider, serving New Yorkers across its Civil, Criminal Defense, and Juvenile Rights practices.
These recognitions reflect the time, expertise, and service that Stout professionals contribute to support The Legal Aid Society and its clients, as well as the firm’s continued support for pro bono efforts and organizations that provide legal assistance to individuals and communities in need.
