Kiersten Acevedo is a member of the firm’s Transformative Change Consulting practice and has over 15 years of experience providing consulting services, working with businesses, government, non-profit organizations, community leaders, and legal advisors on a range of organizational, compliance, strategic, and financial issues.
Kiersten works closely with corporate boards, management teams, not-for-profit directors, trial attorneys, in-house counsel, and other stakeholders to apply economic and financial analyses and strategies to address complex and unstructured business matters. She specializes in big data analytics, class-action litigation, and compliance oversight.
Kiersten has deep experience in large-scale transformations and has supported several multi-year transformation and improvement projects across various topics, including compliance improvement strategies, strategic planning, strategy and concept development, go-to-market expansion strategies, corporate strategy, and topics regarding financial and fiscal impact, sustainability, leadership, innovation, technology, and operational oversight.
Kiersten has experience leading collaborative meetings and settings across various stakeholders and external parties, which allows for cross-functional engagement, creative thinking, and the development of innovative solutions to complex problems.
Kiersten also advises clients on a wide range of forensic accounting matters, with a focus on investigations involving asset tracing. She has managed and led numerous investigations regarding allegations of financial crimes such as fraud and financial misconduct, corporate whistleblower investigations, kickback schemes, and responses to U.S. government enforcement agencies.
Kiersten has previously focused on intellectual property damages regarding patent infringement, with an industry focus on consumer products and technology. She advises clients on trial strategy and preparation, litigation damages assessments, and litigation settlement discussions.
Prior to joining Stout, Kiersten was a Manager in the Litigation Consulting & Dispute Advisory practice at RSM US LLP. Prior to that, she was a consultant in the Financial Services practice at Huron Consulting Group.
Kiersten is the Co-Chair of Stout’s Women’s Alliance, is a member of Stout’s DEI&B advisory board, and is actively involved in the firm’s Pro Bono practice.
