Mark J. Abbott

Mark Abbott is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking group. He is involved in a full range of investment banking activities, with a primary focus on M&A advisory and private equity-backed transactions. He brings extensive experience in M&A advisory for private equity firms as well as for private businesses and public companies.

Mark's industry sector experience is focused on diversified industrials and distribution. He also has significant experience across transportation, logistics, automotive, building products, and specialty manufacturing, among others. His engagement highlights include advising numerous private equity firms in their divestitures of various portfolio companies, including automotive aftermarket distributors, building products distributors, industrial distributors, trailer manufacturers, and vehicle component manufacturers.

Prior to joining Stout, Mark was with JSJ Corporation where he led the strategy and investment team in the sourcing of investment opportunities, deal execution, due diligence, negotiation, and execution. Prior to that, he was a Vice President in the Diversified Industrials and Services Investment Banking group at Piper Jaffray & Co. where he executed M&A transactions for the private equity community. He started his career at KPMG.
