Jason Krentler leads the real property financial reporting practice at Stout. He has over 20 years of real property valuation and consulting experience, with a concentration on financial reporting matters.
Jason's experience includes assignments completed for a wide variety of property types across the United States as well as throughout Europe, Asia, and South America. He has extensive financial reporting experience in connection with purchase price allocations, fair value measurement, positive assurance, impairment testing, fresh start accounting, and ASC 842 lease accounting. In addition to GAAP for U.S.-based client needs, he has worked on international valuations to satisfy reporting requirements associated with IFRS and International Accounting Standards (IAS).
Jason’s experience also includes net asset valuations (NAV) for REIT and institutional clients, fairness opinions, and litigation. He has testified as an expert witness for ad valorem taxation and other litigation matters throughout the United States.
