Stout released its 2024 Automotive Recalls Summit presentation.

Stout’s annual Automotive Recalls Summit presentations identify relevant trends in automotive recalls, such as the number of unique campaigns, size of recalls, age of recalls, components being recalled, and completion percentages across relevant segments. Stout’s presentations also commonly include regulatory actions, reported labor times, analysis of software and other electronic defects, warranty costs, and component failure categorization.

Stout curates this information to lead a discussion each year to offer data-driven observations regarding risk, administration, compliance, and other emerging issues and proactive strategies.

Each presentation is prepared for the Society of Automotive Analysts and is compiled and analyzed from prior-year data using a variety of sources, including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), multiple U.S. court jurisdictions, international recall databases, financial reports, and other sources.
