Stout was engaged by the trust department of a regional bank to appraise a large ranch in south Texas in care of the trustee. At the time of the engagement, the client had been approached with an offer to purchase the property.
As part of the trustees' due diligence and negotiations, Stout was asked to provide an appraisal for the property including the surface and water rights.
Due to the nature of the offer, Stout provided an appraisal on an abbreviated schedule to assist the client with negotiations and decision making maximizing value for the trust. The client was able to make an informed decision based on our appraisal.
