Managing Director
Alan Harp specializes in the valuation of upstream oil and gas properties and exploration and production (E&P) companies.
Alan has over 25 years of business valuation experience and has provided opinions of value for tax and estate planning, corporate transactions, financial reporting and other purposes to major integrated companies such as Chevron as well as numerous trusts, endowments, hedge funds, private and publicly traded companies. He has advised the Texas General Land Office as well as the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts regarding the valuation of mineral and royalty properties. Alan also advises private mineral owners on the fair value of their holdings and maintains a relationship with various mineral and royalty market participants.
Prior to joining Stout, Alan was a Senior Managing Director at HFBE where he led the energy valuation group that specialized in the valuation of closely held E&Ps.
