STUDENT EXPERIENCES
Scholarships (Sophomores)
Our mission is to provide financial assistance to help students succeed in their pursuit of a business-related career, and we offer the following scholarships:
- Diverse Emerging Leaders Scholarship
- LGBTQ+ Scholarship
- Women in Business Scholarship
All scholarships are $2,500 and are awarded to qualified students who embody Stout’s core values and ambitions.
Applications for the fall 2024 scholarships have now closed. Please sign-up to receive notifications for when the fall 2025 scholarships open (coming September 2025).
Future Leaders in Finance Program (Freshmen through Juniors)
Our virtual Future Leaders in Finance (FLF) program is designed for college students (freshmen through juniors) who are interested in learning more about Stout and our services. Participants in their sophomore or junior year are also eligible to get hands-on experience and demonstrate their skills with a case study competition.
If interested in participating in our Future Leaders in Finance programs in 2024-2025, please sign-up to receive notifications for the Stout student programs that interest you.
Investment Banking - Future Leaders in Finance Program:
Selected candidates will spend time with our finance professionals to gain exposure to the investment banking industry by participating in junior and senior banker panels and in a case study competition alongside a member of our banking team. Case studies will be presented to banking leadership at the end of the session.

Women in Finance Program (Freshman through Juniors)
Our Women in Finance program is designed to provide insight into various functions within Stout for women interested in pursuing finance-related careers. These virtual, interactive workshops offer students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while networking with Stout colleagues from across the firm.
Applications are now open for our Women in Finance - Introduction to Business Valuation (DCF) program.
Agenda:
Thursday, February 20th and Friday, February 21st, 2:00 pm ET/11:00 am PT
Day 1 - Introduction to Valuation Advisory and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)
During this session, we will provide a general overview of Stout and give an introduction to Business Valuation. This will include a discussion of the different valuation approaches and underlying methods, with a focus on the Discounted Cash Flow Method. Day one will lay the foundation for our interactive modeling exercise on day two.
Day 2 – DCF Workshop and Women in Finance Panel Discussion
This session will be used to walk you through the application of the Discounted Cash Flow Method, by going over each step of building a valuation model. Stout professionals will walk you through what the findings mean and how this information is applied to our client deliverables. We will end with a panel discussion led by Stout female leaders, allowing them to share their experiences and give their insight into the field of valuation.
