Jeff and his team represented an equity investor client and performed construction risk advisory services for a multi-phased medical research and innovation-oriented public-private partnership (P3) development. The project involved the design and construction of a 226,000-square-foot, six-story building in Phase One and a 126,000-square-foot, 10-story building in Phase Two. Jeff and his team collaborated closely with the development team, architect, contractor, legal counsel, and P3 health system and university partners.

Pre-Development / Due Diligence

Jeff and his team conducted comprehensive due diligence through the development and tracking of a detailed project document checklist and dashboard with a risk register that evaluated entitlements, permitting, zoning, utilities, easements, environmental reports, design and specifications, agreements, development budget, construction costs, insurance, and schedule. Further, they substantiated contracts to hold project team members accountable for compliance and alignment with project goals and objectives.

Design & Construction

Jeff and his team meticulously tracked the budget and contingencies, oversaw the project schedule, evaluated changes, and monitored construction progress through ongoing document review and site visits. They provided regular project status updates, reviewed project accounting and draw requests, made funding recommendations, and delivered monthly investment risk reports to keep the client and other stakeholders informed.

Project Completion / Closeout

In the project completion and closeout phase, Jeff and his team assisted with the punch list, occupancy, and closeout oversight to support a smooth and successful transition to full operation.
