Jeff and his team acted as the owner’s representative and performed construction risk advisory and project management services for a higher education philanthropy center. The project involved the design and construction of a 60,000+ square-foot, three-story office headquarters obtaining LEED-Gold and targeting WELL-Platinum certifications.
The project featured a grand atrium space, interactive donor recognition exhibits, a wellness studio, library, café, meeting and conference spaces, and an outdoor terrace. The team helped navigate significant scope, budget, and schedule challenges throughout the project through building a trusted relationship with the project team, extensive collaboration, and timely communication.
Pre-Development / Due Diligence
Pre-development tasks included project budget and schedule development, project team procurement — including design, construction, consultants, and donor recognition design and implementation experts — and oversight of contract management for compliance and alignment with project goals and objectives.
Design & Construction
Jeff and his team coordinated the design-build process, led the permitting process, managed financial aspects and project accounting, and handled change management to address budget and scope modifications.
Additionally, they provided quarterly project updates and board presentations to keep stakeholders informed, monitored construction activities through document review and regular site visits, and contributed to furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) selection and procurement.
Project Completion / Closeout
In the project completion and closeout phase, Jeff’s team contributed to the move management process and assisted with the project punch list and closeout activities to uphold a smooth transition to occupancy.
