Stout was retained by the owner of certain remote communication and security technology in a patent infringement case against a provider of remote communication/remote access systems. We were asked to offer opinions on reasonable royalty damages, while considering the elements of the accused systems that employed the accused infringing technology. We then determined the value of the use of the patented technology in those elements.
