Lee Welborn is the head of Cost Segregation Services. Lee has 30 years of experience in the construction industry. She has provided fixed asset and cost segregation services for some of the largest global companies involving filings for multi-million dollar tax adjustments. She leads teams performing studies of newly constructed buildings as well as acquired properties — ranging from single buildings to large real estate portfolios. Lee has successfully defended her work before the IRS and regularly works with her clients’ internal and external auditors when performing significant engagements.

Lee has performed cost segregation studies for companies within many different industries and has deep technical knowledge and experience specific to high-tech data centers, casino and hotel resorts, large office campuses, theme parks, and other entertainment venues. Lee has performed studies for both book and tax purposes, and she led studies for facilities located across the U.S. as well as in Ireland, Sweden, China, and Macau.

Prior to joining Stout, Lee was with Ernst & Young LLP for over 20 years. Most recently, she was the co-leader of EY’s national cost segregation practice.
