Performed cost segregation and repairs study for hospitality client
Lee Welborn performed a three-year cost segregation and repairs study for a client in the hospitality industry. The project involved analyzing the $650-million renovation of a historic Las Vegas casino. Lee and her team identified and quantified shorter-lived assets for federal income tax depreciation purposes as well as costs eligible for immediate deduction as repair and maintenance expenses.
Following the work and a comprehensive audit, the IRS made no changes to the classification of the assets in the study.
