Harry Gruits is a highly experienced M&A professional with over 20 years of experience advising financial and strategic deal makers with their M&A objectives. He has led or executed financial and cross-functional due diligence on over 150 M&A transactions, both domestically and abroad, ranging in size from $10 million to $5 billion. He has extensive experience across a broad range of industries, including chemicals, automotive, packaging, industrial manufacturing, retail, consumer products, and technology.
Harry advises clients on both buy- and sell-side transactions with a focus on identifying, assessing, and presenting key deal issues and value implications for M&A clients. He is a divestiture specialist with a specific focus on carve-outs, having successfully led and executed several large, complex projects while managing cross-functional teams in excess of 75 people. In addition, he has led and executed several non-deal financial engagements including financial modeling, commercial diligence, going concern analysis, 13-week cashflows, audits, and cost savings validation analysis.
Prior to joining Stout, Harry was a Managing Director in the Deals practice of PwC, where he successfully advised many of the firm’s Fortune 100 clients on their M&A objectives. He served in a variety of leadership and subject matter expert roles and contributed to the professional development of clients through frequent presentation of relevant M&A topics, best practices, and sector trends to boards of directors, business development, and functional M&A teams.
