Quantified damages in sports complex construction project
Our team prepared an expert report on behalf of a prime contractor that was averse to a municipality whose actions caused delays to the prime contractor’s performance and resulted in additional costs being incurred to complete the construction of a new sports complex, including tennis and soccer facilities and other park infrastructures and amenities.
We quantified the contractor’s damages related to material escalation, direct field overhead, home office overhead, unpaid quantities, retention held, and applicable markups.
Additionally, we quantified five subcontractor’s damages related to costs incurred for increased direct costs, materials escalation, additional costs incurred, direct field overhead, indirect unabsorbed home office overhead, delay, loss of anticipated profits, and applicable markups, for both the subcontractor and contractor.
