Matthew Vold has over 17 years of experience providing consulting services to clients in the areas of intellectual property valuation and disputes, business valuation, complex commercial disputes, and transfer pricing.

Matthew has valued patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intangible assets for a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, licensing, and joint ventures, as well as for transfer pricing and estate tax issues. He has also performed business and legal entity valuation for public and private companies for purposes of supporting various tax and financial reporting requirements.

In addition, Matthew has provided dispute resolution services in matters related to: patent, copyright, trademark, and trade dress infringement; trade secret misappropriation; breach of contract; transfer pricing; accounting malpractice; bankruptcy; and Section 337 intellectual property matters before the U.S. International Trade Commission. His experience includes developing damages strategies, building complex economic analyses, preparing expert reports, and providing deposition and trial preparation and assistance.

Matthew's transfer pricing experience includes assisting clients with planning, documentation, and defense of intercompany pricing for tangible product, intangible property, financing, and services transactions. He has also provided audit assistance and participated in negotiations with tax authorities from the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Prior to joining Stout, Matthew worked in the Intellectual Property and Transfer Pricing groups at Epsilon Economics, Duff & Phelps, and Charles River Associates.
