Kurt Uhler

Kurt Uhler is a member of the Real Estate practice within the Valuation Advisory group and serves as the leader of the Healthcare Real Estate Valuation practice. He has almost 20 years of real property valuation and advisory experience, with a concentration on valuations for financial and investor reporting, portfolio valuation, and other transaction advisory purposes.

Kurt’s experience extends across North America and Europe and spans all major property types, with an emphasis on the Healthcare/Seniors Housing sectors.

He has consulted on many engagements requiring valuations for financial reporting in connection with ASC 805, ASC 820, ASC 350, and ASC 842 related to purchase price allocations, fair-value measurements, positive assurance, goodwill impairment testing, fresh-start accounting, and lease accounting. He also partners with health systems to perform fair market rent studies for Stark Compliance. In addition, he has significant experience determining the net asset value (NAV) for non-traded REITs (real estate investment trusts) and rendering fairness opinions involving companies with significant real estate holdings.

Prior to joining Stout, Kurt was a Managing Director and led the Southwest Region and Healthcare Real Estate Valuation teams at Kroll (Duff & Phelps).
