Katie McNally is a Managing Director in the Disputes, Claims, & Investigations group. She was named a Rising Star of the Profession by Consulting Magazine, specializing in damages quantification, statistical analyses, complex claims consulting, and litigation risk analysis. In addition to her consulting experience, Katie is an Adjunct Lecturer of Statistics and Economics at Northwestern University.

Katie is regularly retained as a testifying expert as well as in a privileged consulting capacity. She has extensive experience assisting clients on high profile and bet-the-company mass tort matters, advising clients on claim estimation and negotiation strategy. She also has assisted her clients in the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars from available insurance coverage for mass tort and other long-tail liabilities.

Katie leverages her prior experience as the CFO of a litigation funder, where she created models to price litigation risk, to advise clients on the valuation of a broad array of claim types, including concussion claims, product recall liabilities, chemical exposure claims (herbicide/pesticide, natural gas, benzene, etc.), and sexual harassment and abuse claims. She has advised institutional defendants facing related class action lawsuits, developing statistical models to estimate class size and educating decision-makers on the economic implications of a settlement at the class-level. Katie also has extensive experience with mass tort claims in the bankruptcy context.

Katie is one of the nation's leading experts on the valuation of sexual abuse claims, assisting in the resolution of over $2 billion of survivor claims. She has a deep understanding of the factors that drive settlement outcomes for sexual abuse claims specifically, including the nature of allegations, verdicts and settlements in potentially comparable matters, and availability and strength of legal defenses to such claims.
