Brian Twellman has over 25 years of experience advising and assisting clients with the evaluation, quantification, presentation and resolution of complex insurance claims. This includes: first-party business interruption and contingent interruption, property damage, extra expense, cyber, third-party general liability, sudden and accidental pollution liability, fidelity/employee crime, construction all-risk and delayed start-up, and the ingress/egress, civil authority, service interruption coverage extensions.

Brian has led teams that have collectively resolved and recovered billions for clients ranging from agreements of less than $1 million to more than $1 billion. He has assisted clients in virtually all aspects of the insurance claim and dispute resolution process, including serving as a damage’s expert in U.S. Federal courts, mediations, arbitrations, and serving as an appraisal umpire.

Brian has served clients, many of whom are listed in the Fortune 500, in the power and utility, mid-stream and downstream energy, metals and mining, healthcare, hospitality, casino/gaming, food service and distribution, agricultural, retail, professional services, real estate, construction, and manufacturing industries involving losses stemming from all types of perils. His assistance and approach have helped to resolve some of the largest and most complex claims in the last 25 years.

Prior to Stout, Brian was the Houston Office Managing Partner and Managing Director at The Claro Group (acquired by Stout). Prior to Claro, Brian was part of the economic and financial consulting firm at LECG; and part of the Financial Advisory Services practice at Arthur Andersen.
