Steve Rathbone was a panelist on the “AI in Action: Redefining Middle-Market M&A” webinar. The program brought together leaders in M&A and AI to discuss how emerging technologies are transforming due diligence, valuation, and deal execution in 2025 and beyond.

When asked about how investment banking can leverage artificial intelligence, Steve said, “AI has been helpful in meeting preparation, research analysis, and giving deal teams a more efficient jumpstart on content creation for pitches and confidential memorandums. While it isn’t a replacement, AI is materially augmenting our efforts at several levels.”

Discussing how AI could benefit his clients, such as distributors, Steve noted its effectiveness in areas like purchasing, cost structure optimization, logistics, and inventory management.
