Wilson Collins has over 10 years of experience analyzing economic data for public and private sector clients and for academic research. He provides a variety of litigation consulting services, including complex data analysis, empirical modeling of economic data, market structure analysis, antitrust analysis, financial and economic forecasts, insurance product evaluation, and risk analytics.
He has extensive expertise across a broad range of industries, including agriculture, financial markets, labor markets, auction/bidding markets, healthcare, and government policy.
Wilson assists both publicly traded and privately owned companies with commercial litigation matters, including antitrust economics, wage and hour disputes, financial modeling, and healthcare disputes. He works closely with trial attorneys, in-house counsel, corporate boards, and management teams in the context of commercial litigation. His work has supported expert testimony for federal and state trials. Many of his engagements have involved analyzing large databases, developing empirical damage models, and performing complex analyses using SAS, Python, and R programming languages.
Prior to joining Stout, Wilson worked for the Economic Research Service (ERS) of the United States Department of Agriculture, where he developed forecasting methods for the farm economy with the goal of incorporating uncertainty into the forecasts. He also served as an instructor at North Carolina State University.
