Tom Scott has extensive experience providing strategic advice to both corporate management teams and private equity investors. His experience spans the financial services and business services industries, including wealth managers, asset managers, capital markets firms, fintechs, commercial banks, and CPA firms.
Tom advises clients on a broad range of strategic and transformational topics, including corporate strategy, customer-led growth, product strategy, digital transformation, operating model design, performance improvement, and risk management. He also advises management teams and private equity investors across the transaction lifecycle, including mergers & acquisition strategy, target identification, buy-side commercial due diligence, value creation, exit readiness, and sell-side vendor due diligence.
Tom’s engagement experience has covered the United States, European, and Latin American markets. Example projects include developing the five-year growth roadmap for a $35 billion AUM independent broker-dealer, developing the market entry strategy for a $220 billion bank’s asset management division, and designing a $11 trillion AUC wealth manager’s digital assets product strategy. He has also led commercial due diligence studies on over 20 transactions, encompassing buy-side and sell-side mandates.
Prior to joining Stout, Tom was a Senior Director at EY-Parthenon, where he was a leader in the firm’s Financial Services strategy consulting space.
