Scott Richmond

Scott Richmond is a Vice President in the Due Diligence practice within the Transaction Advisory group. He has over five years of experience providing financial due diligence services to public, private sector, and private equity clients. He has experience in a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, insurance brokerage, wealth management, transportation, software, and other professional services.

Scott advises private equity firms as well as both publicly traded and privately owned companies throughout the M&A transaction process, including services related to sell-side, buy-side, and post-transaction net working capital true-ups. These services include analyzing quality of earnings, evaluating working capital needs, identifying debt-like items, and assisting in post-close support.

Prior to joining Stout, Scott worked as a tax professional for Plante Moran, PLLC in Cincinnati, Ohio, before moving to Chicago to join Miller Cooper & Co. in 2019 as its first full-time transaction advisory staff member. At Miller Cooper, Scott provided financial due diligence services in over 100 middle-market deals before joining Stout in July 2022.
