Scott Reid has over 13 years of experience providing financial due diligence services on transactions ranging in size from $10 million to over $2 billion, primarily for private equity firms and their portfolio companies. He has extensive expertise across a broad range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, engineering & construction, business & industrial services, distribution, consumer retail, and equipment rental.
Scott advises clients on buy-side and sell-side transactions throughout the entirety of the M&A transaction process. This includes analyzing quality of earnings, working capital, indebtedness, cash flow, and other financial performance considerations. He also reads and evaluates purchase agreements and assesses the financial reporting and technical accounting capabilities of target companies. Furthermore, he has experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including M&A tax, separation and integration, IT diligence, HR diligence, investment banking, and commercial and operational strategy services.
Prior to joining Stout, Scott was a Director at KPMG in the Deal Advisory & Strategy practice, as well as an External Reporting Analyst at CSX (a Fortune 500 public company) and an Audit Associate at Deloitte.
