Sandy Thompson has over nine years of experience providing forensic accounting services, including preparing damages calculations, assisting counsel with analysis of financial data and issues, conducting forensic financial analyses, preparing expert reports, and conducting investigations.
Sandy primarily focuses on quantification of economic damages in intellectual property disputes, complex commercial disputes, and breach-of-contract matters. She has extensive expertise within the telecommunications and media industry.
Prior to joining Stout, Sandy was a Director at a publicly traded global telecommunication and media company. She led internal investigations and prepared written reports and senior level presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders (i.e., controller, general counsel, etc.) and implemented several cross-functional management action plans to reduce and mitigate fraud that resulted from internal investigations.
