Sandy Thompson

Sandy Thompson has over 10 years of experience providing forensic accounting services, including preparing damages calculations, assisting counsel with analysis of financial data, conducting forensic financial analyses, preparing expert reports, providing expert witness testimony, and conducting investigations.

Sandy assists attorneys and clients with evaluating and preparing economic damages in the form of lost profits, reasonable royalties, unjust enrichment, disgorged profits, out-of-pocket costs, and other economic remedies. She is experienced in performing apportionment analyses and in assessing incremental costs and performing cost and revenue allocations.

Her investigative accounting experience includes conducting forensic accounting investigations on behalf of clients and internally during her tenure with a publicly traded global telecommunications and media company.

Sandy has provided litigation consulting on damages and equitable remedies for clients across a wide range of industries, including insurance brokerages, consumer products, financial services, media and entertainment, pharmaceutical, software, and telecommunications, among others.

Before joining Stout, she held the position of Director at a publicly traded global telecommunications and media company. In that capacity, she oversaw internal investigations and presented her findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including the controller and general counsel. She was also instrumental in executing cross-functional management action plans designed to address and mitigate fraud uncovered during investigative efforts. Sandy's work experience also includes approximately four years at a Big Four accounting firm conducting financial statement audits.
