Ryan Pisarik serves in the firm’s Forensic and Compliance Services practice. He has over 25 years of experience in leading major investigations (both corporate and regulatory), evaluating corporate compliance and governance programs, and serving as a financial and accounting expert in complex litigation matters. Throughout his career, he has worked with counsel and on behalf of special committees of the board of directors for many global companies (both public and private) in a wide variety of industries.
Ryan’s investigative work has included engagements involving forensic accounting, bribery and corruption (FCPA), anti-money laundering, asset tracing, corporate fraud, Ponzi schemes, price fixing, bank and securities fraud, false financial reporting, the False Claims Act (FCA), antitrust, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Department (SEC) / U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and regulatory matters.
Ryan has served as a regulatory-appointed corporate monitor and as an appointed independent compliance expert in matters related to resolution of fraud, corruption, collusion, FCA, and other regulatory issues. He has also assisted other named corporate monitors related to various regulatory settlements.
He has also testified as an expert witness in matters involving fraud, contractual disputes, asset tracing, complex accounting issues, post-purchase price disputes, and financial services regulations. In addition, he has presented investigation findings and been part of settlement negotiations in front of the SEC, DOJ, World Bank, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Prior to joining Stout, Ryan held leadership positions at other major forensic accounting and litigation practices at global accounting firms and consultancies. He started his career in a Big Four audit practice, where he provided assurance services to clients in a variety of industries.
