Michael Gears is responsible for the performance and oversight of engagements in complex litigation and consulting matters involving business valuation, measurement of economic damages, tracing relating to separate property issues in domestic cases, high-stakes marital dissolutions, forensic accounting, fraud investigations, and other forensic and valuation consulting services.
He has over ten years of experience providing forensic accounting and valuation services to both government and private-sector clients, including forensic and valuation consulting services supporting expert witnesses and providing expert witness testimony.
He has extensive expertise across a broad range of industries, including government contracting, energy, real estate, and healthcare.
Michael’s experience includes directly supporting testifying experts and critiquing the opinions of opposing expert witnesses. He has extensive experience in supporting counsel in litigation matters through the entire case lifecycle, including the discovery process, deposition support, and trial planning.
Prior to joining Stout, Michael was a Director within J.S. Held.
