Michael Connelly has over 11 years of experience providing consulting services to clients in matters involving commercial disputes, complex business insurance claims, and forensic investigations.
Michael has significant experience in commercial litigation matters involving economic damages. This includes conducting financial analyses and preparing expert reports for cases related to lost profits, misappropriation of trade secrets, breaches of contract, false representations, and individual lost earnings. He also works on antitrust cases in which he assists clients with calculating damages in price-fixing matters.
Michael also regularly assists commercial insurance policyholders formulate, present, and achieve settlement of major property damage, business interruption, and extra expense claims. He works with clients across industries to recover insurance proceeds from events such as major storms, construction defects, and cyberattacks.
Michael has also conducted numerous forensic investigations in matters involving bribery, asset misappropriation, fraud, and corruption. He also has experience conducting FCPA and fraud-related due diligence and risk assessments.
Prior to joining Stout, Michael worked for three years in the Disputes and Claims practice of The Claro Group (acquired by Stout in October 2022). Prior to that, Michael worked for seven years in the Disputes and Investigations practice of Deloitte LLP.
