Jennifer Eilemberg has deep experience driving regulatory compliance strategy and leading operations within the healthcare industry. Jennifer specializes in developing and implementing comprehensive compliance programs, conducting internal investigations, managing responses to government inquiries, and providing strategic counsel on complex regulatory matters, including Medicare, Medicaid, the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and HIPAA.
She has extensive experience leading the compliance and legal functions for diverse healthcare organizations, including publicly traded biotechnology companies, national clinical laboratories, and multi-entity healthcare holding companies.
She has directed internal investigations and audits related to potential fraud, waste, and abuse, compliance policy violations, and other regulatory risks, regularly reporting findings and recommended corrective actions to executive leadership and boards of directors.
Jennifer possesses experience managing interactions with private payors and government agencies, including leading responses to major Medicare and Medicaid audits and handling federal and state investigations and settlements. She is adept at performing risk assessments; establishing robust policies, procedures, and monitoring programs; developing training initiatives; and ensuring operational adherence to evolving regulatory landscapes.
In her prior roles as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Deputy General Counsel, she provided guidance on a wide array of critical legal issues, including corporate governance, securities regulations, intellectual property, complex healthcare deal structuring, and commercial transactions. Her experience includes negotiating strategic joint ventures, overseeing litigation and managing outside counsel, advising on physician practice acquisitions, and managing due diligence for significant corporate transactions, including a $100 million sale to a private equity consortium.
Prior to joining Stout, Jennifer held senior leadership positions, including Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a publicly traded biotechnology company and General Counsel, Senior Vice President, and Chief Compliance Officer for a private equity-backed national clinical laboratory. She also served as General Counsel for other healthcare service organizations and began her legal career practicing in the healthcare and corporate securities departments of a large international law firm. Jennifer has spoken on compliance and privacy related topics to several professional organizations and assisted in drafting legislation affecting healthcare regulations. She is admitted to practice law in multiple states and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
