Elias Papadimas

Elias Papadimas has over 25 years of experience assisting publicly traded and privately owned companies with various accounting, finance, and reporting matters. With a particular focus on life science companies, Elias has held senior positions advising, directing, and executing on operational accounting and financial reporting activities, technical accounting matters, treasury and FP&A support, and the review and preparation of financial statements and SEC reporting, including registration statements and annual and interim filings.

Prior to joining Stout, Elias was with Exicure, Inc., a Nasdaq-listed biotech company, for eight years, beginning as controller and subsequently serving as CAO and CFO.

Prior to his roles with Exicure, he served as senior manager, technical accounting and external reporting, at Beam, Inc. (subsequently Beam Suntory). Prior to that, he held positions in financial reporting, technical accounting, and accounting operations with Hewitt Associates, Inc., (subsequently Aon Hewitt), Nicor Gas, and Heller Financial, Inc. (subsequently GE Capital).

Elias’ career includes broad exposure to unique accounting and reporting matters at publicly traded and privately owned companies, such as (i) technical accounting (e.g., adoption of ASC 606, revenue recognition; adoption of ASC 842, lease accounting; share-based compensation; warrants; exit activities; business combinations; and discontinued operations); (ii) acquisitions/divestitures (e.g., due diligence, purchase accounting, coordination with third-party valuation specialists, spin-off and reverse-merger accounting and reporting); and (iii) people and matrix management (i.e., led and managed direct reports and multi-function project teams, all in collaboration with internal cross-functions and leadership, external auditors, and other external specialists).
