Charlie Francis has extensive experience providing accounting and reporting assistance to both public and private sector clients. He has expertise across a broad range of industries, including technology, financial services, consumer and industrial products, and construction.
Charlie advises both publicly traded and privately owned companies on pre- and post-close technical accounting matters such as purchase accounting, closing statement preparation, cash to accrual adjustments, and audit readiness. He works closely with private equity operating partners, C-suite management teams, accounting teams, and auditors in the context of technical accounting and reporting assistance.
Prior to joining Stout, Charlie served as a Director in financial consulting, where he led engagements involving working capital true-ups, closing balance sheet preparation, and purchase accounting. Earlier in his career, he provided transaction advisory services, including the preparation of financial and collateral due diligence reports for private equity firms and lending institutions across multiple industries.
Charlie also has experience at a Big Four accounting firm, where he supported clients in the financial services sector with technical accounting matters. He began his career in external audit, gaining a strong foundation in accounting and reporting while serving clients across a variety of industries.
