Ben Littell has over 15 years of experience providing cost segregation, capitalization, and construction administration services to both public and private sector clients. He has extensive expertise across a broad range of industries, including multi-family residential, commercial, renewable energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, distribution, data centers, retail, gaming, media and entertainment, stadiums, and healthcare.
Ben has performed cost segregation studies for both newly constructed and acquired property, including purchase price allocations and like-kind exchanges. In addition, he has extensive experience identifying repair expenses and implementing the tangible property regulations, segregating real and personal property for FIRPTA and REIT purposes, and determining the eligibility of wind, solar, geothermal, and renewable natural gas property for Investment Tax Credit purposes. He has calculated multi-million-dollar 481(a) adjustments in conjunction with the preparation of accounting method changes.
Prior to joining Stout, Ben spent 10 years working in capitalization and cost segregation at Ernst & Young LLP and eight years working as an architect at Francis Cauffman Architects.
