Alexander Mats

Alexander Mats specializes in providing forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services for clients navigating litigation, investigations, and other complex business disputes. Alex is skilled in calculating economic damages and delivering expert testimony in matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, misappropriation of trade secrets, and similar claims.

Frequently engaged to provide expert opinions, Alex addresses issues such as fraud allegations, shareholder disputes, reconstruction of detailed financial records, and asset tracing in complex investigations. His professional expertise spans a broad spectrum of industries, including but not limited to financial services, insurance, construction, aviation, and real estate.

A substantial portion of his work involves applying advanced analytics to large datasets, often in support of expert testimony. He has authored numerous expert reports and testified in deposition, trials, FINRA arbitrations, and other alternative dispute resolution forums. He also collaborates closely with legal counsel throughout all stages of the litigation.

Prior to joining Stout, Alex held roles in litigation consulting and forensic accounting at HKA and Capital Forensics, Inc. He has also worked at The Pampered Chef, LaSalle Investment Management, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Crowe.
