Stout Expands With New Head of Private Equity Business Development
Stout is pleased to announce that Bartley O’Dwyer has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Private Equity Business Development.
Bartley has over 20 years of experience in financial services working with private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, investment managers, hedge fund managers, family offices, credit investors, business development companies, and lenders. Through his work leading teams and client coverage, he has cultivated extensive relationships across the private equity market.
Prior to joining Stout, Bartley served on the executive team at Consero Global, leading its commercial efforts and national expansion with private equity sponsors and their portfolio company CEOs and CFOs. He also spent time at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), spanning multiple roles and ultimately leading GLG’s private equity and venture capital practice, the fastest-growing business within the company, through multiple rounds of institutional investment with firms such as Bessemer Venture Partners, Silver Laker Partners, and SFW Capital.
Bartley is actively involved with organizations such as The Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, The American Ireland Fund, The St. Patrick’s Day Foundation of New York City, and the Association for Corporate Growth. He has also served as a board member of NYPEN (the New York Private Equity Network).
“Stout’s 30-year history of excellence and commitment to client service combined with the firm’s commitment to offering a comprehensive suite of services for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies make this an unbelievably compelling opportunity,” said Bartley. “Whether at the general partner level or within the office of the CFO at sponsor portfolio companies, as more and more capital flows into private equity as an asset class, Stout is well positioned to continue our explosive growth in this channel.”
Bartley received his B.A. from Providence College and his M.A. from The London School of Economics & Political Science. He will be based in Stout’s New York office.
