Stout was engaged by two health systems that were contemplating the formation of a clinically integrated network. In connection with this transaction, the clients requested that Stout prepare a comparative analysis to calculate the difference in commercial payor reimbursement rates of inpatient and outpatient services performed by the respective clients. The analysis was conducted in a “black box” to protect the confidentiality of this information.

Our analysis provided the clients with decision-making information and allowed the clients to determine which party had more favorable commercial payor contracts.
