Opined on patent damages related to a capping closure
Stout was engaged by the defendant to opine on patent damages related to a capping chuck used with liquid-filling equipment. Stout worked with its client and outside counsel to review relevant financial and marketing documents, analyze the defendant's sales data, review and analyze design-around costs and noninfringing alternatives, and ultimately conclude on a reasonable royalty. Additionally, Stout reviewed and corrected the plaintiff's expert's damages opinion. Stout's expert issued a report opining on reasonable royalty damages and testified to those opinions during deposition.
