Served as a financial expert regarding the alleged losses experienced by a furniture store chain as a result of a flood.  Complicating the issue was the fact that the flood occurred at the distribution center for a chain of furniture stores in a major metropolitan city.  Claimed losses included inventory, custom orders in various degrees of completion, and associated lost profits, as well as increased advertising costs and loss of goodwill.  We rebutted the calculation put forth by an opposing expert, and assessed the claimant’s efforts to mitigate its losses.  We testified at deposition.  The matter settled.
