Stout was retained as an expert witness and testified at deposition regarding the volume of the chemical Diacetyl that was purchased by a third party in connection with a product liability claim. Stout was retained to determine the amount and source of Diacetyl provided by a party to the litigation over an 18-year period relative to other suppliers also providing the same chemical. Employing forensic accounting methods and expertise, Stout determined a reasonably certain amount of all Diacetyl provided and its source.
