William de Groot advises life sciences and healthcare companies on corporate strategy, regulatory planning, and investor engagement across the growth continuum, from private stage to pre-IPO readiness. He supports clients with compliance and governance strategy, risk management, regulatory planning, board engagement, and fundraising strategy. He frequently collaborates with early-stage companies and investors on transaction readiness, clinical trial development, and growth.
Prior to joining Stout, William co-founded the interim c-suite business of a financial services firm where he and his partners built a significant practice supporting over 100 life science businesses.
Prior to that endeavor, William served as a Principal of the Endurance Capital Partners and its investment program, and he still serves as an advisor.
William spent five years at the family office of a well-known private equity firm founder where he supported existing investments and private equity investments/partnership as well as evaluated private investment. William also advised the office on the winding down of the family’s investment in limited partner positions.
William began his career in finance, starting in venture capital at Boston Millennia Partners, participating in two successful funds while at the firm. The start to his career also included biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, as he served in a variety of roles at notable companies, including Millennium Pharmaceuticals (Takada), Novartis, and GSK.
