Steven Purdy is responsible for the performance and oversight of engagements in complex litigation and consulting matters involving valuation, damages, forensic accounting, tax controversy, and other financial issues.

He has approximately 20 years of professional experience servicing private sector clients and has been qualified many times as an expert witness in his field of expertise. He has valued hundreds of businesses in a variety of industries, including government contracting, real estate, construction, retail, and professional organizations, among others.

The majority of his valuations were performed in the context of litigation involving domestic relation matters, shareholder disputes, dissenting shareholder actions, and economic damages. His experience also includes a number of investigations for hidden assets and tracing relating to separate property issues in domestic cases where he and his team provided consulting services or acted as a testifying expert. He provides attorney case assistance to facilitate the discovery process, develop case strategy, and analyze expert positions. Steven also has extensive experience in providing business valuations for gift and estate tax purposes.

He is collaboratively trained as a financial neutral where, at times, he helps business partners and divorcing spouses resolve financial disputes without resorting to litigation.

Prior to performing litigation support services, he frequently consulted with business owners in the areas of fractional CFO services, accounting systems implementation, and income tax preparation and planning.

Prior to joining Stout as a Managing Director, Steven served as a Partner in a regional public accounting firm.
