Ryan Shea

Ryan Shea has over 10 years of experience providing accounting advisory and transaction services to public and private companies, from early-stage startups to well-established corporations. His experience spans healthcare and life sciences, technology, and specialty finance.

Ryan helps companies navigate the IPO process and the transition to public company status. He leads financial workstreams, including capitalization and dilution analyses, as well as pro forma financials and financial statement and management discussion and analysis (MD&A), and he works alongside underwriters, legal counsel, and auditors to resolve complex accounting and disclosure matters. He also supports follow-on offerings and other capital markets transactions.

Ryan partners with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on M&A transactions, providing accounting advisory support on the buy and sell side. His work spans purchase accounting and opening balance sheets, closing statements, and pro forma analyses. He also advises on technical accounting matters, including debt and equity issuances, stock-based compensation, and earnings per share.

Before joining Stout, Ryan was a Director of Corporate Finance at a publicly traded company, where he led strategic initiatives across financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and corporate venture. Earlier, he was a Vice President at Genova Group and began his career at KPMG, working with emerging growth companies.
