Mike Kikta concentrates on the valuation and cost segregation of renewable energy projects. In his eight years of experience, he has valued over eight gigawatts of grid-connected renewable energy projects for tax equity financing.
Mike focuses on the project finance valuation of renewable energy assets, and his experience includes utility and distributed renewable generation. He has assisted clients with tax equity transactions, depreciation studies, sale-leasebacks, inverted leases, repowering, year-end financial reporting, and other renewable energy-specific arrangements. He is a specialist in consultative matters such as repowering energy assets.
His valuations have been used for financing, tax reporting, financial reporting, and collateralization. He works closely with investors, developers, and their advisors to understand and establish value throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Prior to joining Stout, Mike was a Director at Marshall & Stevens, where he served as a team and project leader supporting various clients in asset and equity valuation. Prior to focusing on the renewable energy industry, he performed traditional business valuation, preparing valuations for clients seeking to divest interest and providing post-acquisition purchase price allocation support.
