Matt Muller

Matt Muller has over 15 years of experience providing healthcare-related valuation and financial advisory services throughout the country. He has broad experiences in the healthcare services sector, with extensive experience of businesses and arrangements spanning ambulatory sites of care as well as inpatient hospital facility settings.

Matt’s clients include healthcare organizations, attorneys, providers, and consultants in need of a healthcare valuation expert of a business, asset, or provider compensation arrangement in connection with acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, shareholder transactions, as well as for litigation support purposes. Many of the transactions and compensation arrangements he analyzes involve Physician Self-Referral Law (i.e., Stark Law), Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, IRC 501(c)(3), and regulatory concerns, which require analysis of fair market value and the determination of commercial reasonableness.

Matt is a regular speaker and author on healthcare industry trends and healthcare valuation topics. He has presented at conferences and webinars, and/or has been cited by publications associated with the American Health Law Association (AHLA), Becker’s Healthcare, Healthcare Finance News, Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA), and American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals (AAPCP).

The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) recognized Matt as a “Rising Star” in the industry in 2019 and as Chapter Member of the Year in 2022. He is a Board member and former President for the Denver Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.

Prior to joining Stout, Matt was a Director with HealthCare Appraisers, Inc.
