Maris Winters is a Vice President in the Accounting & Reporting Advisory group. She has over nine years of experience in accounting and auditing, including areas of mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting. She has extensive expertise across a broad range of industries, including technology, telecom, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and marketing.
Maris has helped both publicly traded and privately owned companies on purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment, reviews of third-party and in-house analyses and the valuation of various intangible assets (i.e., developed technology, trademark/trade names, etc.). She works closely with management teams, third-party teams, in-house counsel, and corporate boards. She also has deep experience in the preparation and review of various SEC filings, including annual and interim reporting and registration statements.
Maris joined Stout in May 2023 as a Manager in the Disputes, Claims, and Investigations group. Prior to joining Stout, Maris assisted in the IPO process and managed the SEC reporting and the purchase price accounting for fifteen acquisitions at a publicly traded Company. Additionally, she previously held a financial reporting role at a Fortune 500 public company and was in the audit practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
