Mallory Smith has extensive experience providing audit, accounting, and financial reporting services to both public and private sector clients. She has served clients across a range of industries, including blockchain and digital assets, power and utilities, renewable energy, and other regulated industries.

Mallory advises publicly traded and privately held companies on complex accounting and reporting matters, including business combinations and acquisition accounting, revenue recognition, implementation of new accounting standards, and financial reporting for SEC registrants. Her experience includes supporting clients through initial public offerings, SPAC transactions, and secondary debt and equity offerings, as well as ongoing compliance with SEC filing requirements.

Mallory works closely with executive management teams, audit committees, in-house accounting and finance leaders, and external advisors to address complex accounting issues, regulatory requirements, and operational transformation initiatives. She also has deep expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and remediation, including internal control design, documentation, and testing in preparation for IPO readiness and public company reporting.

Prior to joining Stout, Mallory was a Senior Manager in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she was a recognized leader within the firm’s Blockchain and Digital Assets group, managed large, multi-disciplinary engagement teams across concurrent projects, and supported strategic growth and transformation initiatives.
