Kate McBrearty

Kate McBrearty has over 10 years of experience advising public and private-equity-backed companies on complex accounting, operational, and transformation initiatives across a broad range of industries. Kate specializes in helping organizations build scalable finance and integration capabilities through structured governance, cross-functional coordination, and process optimization initiatives.

Kate has extensive experience leading large-scale project management efforts, including transaction-related integrations, carve-outs, and operational transformation programs. She works closely with executive leadership and functional stakeholders to develop integration strategies, establish governance structures, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, and drive Day One and post-close readiness activities. Her experience includes designing repeatable processes and playbooks, identifying and mitigating integration risks and dependencies, and supporting organizations in building sustainable internal capabilities for future growth and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Stout, Kate worked in KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice, where she focused on providing accounting and operational advisory services to large public and middle-market clients, including support for mergers and acquisitions, separation transactions, and finance transformation initiatives across industries.
