Barbara Landy has over 17 years of experience providing valuation services to both public and private sector clients, and this experience has all been devoted exclusively to the healthcare sector.
Barbara both advises and provides fair market valuation within the context of healthcare, primarily addressing arrangements which may have Stark and/or Anti-Kickback implications, including the following: hospital-based income guarantees and subsidies of financial support; provider benchmarking and compensation modeling; physician recruitment; on-call; retrospective compensation analysis, medical director, administrative, and other non-clinical services; professional services arrangements; graduate medical education; employment agreements; specific procedural analysis; and utilization of various forms of the income, market, and cost approaches. She works closely with attorneys, physicians, and administrators in the context of healthcare fair market value.
Prior to joining Stout, Barbara served in government, proprietary, and not-for-profit healthcare systems in settings both rural and urban. She held positions including Administrator of a rural hospital, Independent Health Care Consultant, Evening/Night Administrator of a tertiary care center, Director of Planning for a governmental healthcare taxing district, and Administrator of a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, with more than 15 years of experience at the executive level. Prior to her management career and continuing after, Barbara worked as an occupational therapist in various settings.
