Stout Advises on Majority Stake Sale of OPTYM-HA to Albarest Partners

December 03, 2024

Stout is pleased to announce the successful sale of a majority stake in OPTYM-HA, a French leader in circular economy solutions for commercial and off-road vehicles, to Albarest Partners. Stout served as the exclusive financial advisor to OPTYM-HA’s shareholders throughout the transaction.

Founded nearly two decades ago, OPTYM-HA has established itself as France’s premier provider of DPF (diesel particulate filter) cleaning and remanufacturing solutions. The company serves a wide range of vehicles, including buses, coaches, trucks, light commercial vehicles, handling equipment, and off-road vehicles. Demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability, OPTYM-HA launched an innovative lead battery regeneration service in 2023, enabling customers to achieve up to 70% cost savings compared to purchasing new batteries.

Operating from two strategic locations, Villard-Bonnot in Isère and Louvres in the Paris region, OPTYM-HA employs approximately thirty skilled professionals and serves an impressive portfolio of approximately 800 clients, including industry leaders such as RATP, Keolis, Transdev, and Fraikin. With strong market momentum, OPTYM-HA is projected to increase its revenue by c. 50% in 2024.

Under Albarest Partners’ ownership, OPTYM-HA plans to accelerate its growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. Key initiatives include strengthening its core business, expanding its battery regeneration services, and developing a comprehensive spare parts offering to complement its existing service portfolio.

“Partnering with Albarest Partners marks an exciting new chapter in OPTYM-HA’s journey,” said Fabien Sikirdji, founding CEO of OPTYM-HA. “The Stout team did an excellent job leading us through the process and identifying the right partner for our next phase of growth. Albarest Partners’ strategic vision and values align perfectly with our company’s DNA and growth ambitions. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this transaction and the guidance provided by Stout.”

Christophe Lapaque, Managing Director of Stout’s Swiss office, commented, “Having followed OPTYM-HA’s remarkable journey since its inception, we are honored to have supported Fabien Sikirdji in this important milestone on his entrepreneurship journey.”

The transaction was executed by Stout’s dedicated deal team, including Kamila Mananova and Solène Fenart.
