Developed GAAP and IFRS accounting policies for a multi-national bank
Manish worked extensively on creating accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS to assist corporate as well as business segments of a multi-national bank as well as a large regional bank to assist segment controllers in the understanding and application of complex accounting guidance. The accounting polices were crafted to comply with the accounting standards while ensuring the existing accounting practices were in sync with the accounting rules. All practical expedients required to comply with the guidance were included in the policy for ease of implementation. FAQs were included in the policies to address frequently encountered issues, making the policies all-encompassing and comprehensive. The policies created were, among others, Transfers and Servicing, Revenue Recognition, Derivatives and Hedging, Variable Interest Entities, Business Combinations, Stock-based Compensation, and more.
